We Meet Again, Teresa
Chen Jia
Appointed as an official artist by the Teresa Teng Foundation from 2013-2015, Chen Jia (陈佳) manages to capture the sublime spirit and silken tone of the famous Taiwanese singer.
This album is Hyper Analogue's first vinyl record produced. It was an exercise to determine how much can be done to make digitally recorded beloved music the best it can be. The original album was digitally recorded, digitally mixed and digitally mastered. We persuaded the music label to supply us the digital stems which allowed us to re-mix in a 100% analogue process.
Each microphone track was placed into a digital-to-analogue converter in order to re-mix in analogue. As there can be up to 36 stereo digital tracks, we needed 72 DACs to accomplish this. There are very few studios in the world with such equipment. Capital Studios in Hollywood where we re-mixed this album was one of them. They also had a vintage 600lb EMT 140 Plate reverb.
The 2-track mixdown tape was then sent to Bernie Grundman who mastered and cut two sets of lacquers for the first ever One-Step production on the UHQR process by Quality Record Pressing.
CURRENTLY SOLD OUT

Only 700 copies were made and this is already a legendary recording among audiophiles in Asia.
