This compilation of our favorite reference standards is more than just another reissue of an LP. We've taken it a step further with a reel-to-reel tape, which can be potentially even higher fidelity than a direct-to-disc album.
With a direct-to-disc album, the sound journeys from musician, to lacquer, to father, to mother, to stamper, to the album.
With this reel-to-reel tape, we cut out two of those production steps, going from musician, to session master, to working master tape, to the final product.
We likewise spared no expense in the materials used for this album: we sourced fresh studio-quality “Recording The Masters” SM900 tape direct from the factories in France; dynamically balanced deluxe premium reels from Feinwerktechnik in Germany; and luxurious faux alligator-skin boxes from Zerodieci Studio in Italy.
