Anne Bisson Trio
Four Seasons in Jazz - Live at Bernie's
Anne’s beautiful interpretation of “Summer Breeze” is one of those special moments you sometimes are lucky enough to find in a well-recorded album. This is the closest you’ll get to being live in the studio: direct from the session master made during the recording session.
Over a Spring weekend in 2017, the musicians played live at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, CA. They were simultaneously recorded, mixed live, and mastered direct-to-lacquer by Bernie Grundman on his vintage Scully lathe with tube electronics. The best four side-takes were picked and this was released as the original direct-to-disc Four Seasons in Jazz: Live at Bernie's.
A 100% analogue recording chain was used, utilizing vintage tube microphones, and a 600lb EMT 140 Plate Reverb for the vocals. The sessions were also recorded direct-to-2track tape for reel-to-reel release.
The freshest and closest to the actual musical performance you can get.
